Winter Solstice

Welcome Winter.  Today is the beginning of the days beginning to lengthen (on the Northern Hemisphere anyway), and the astronomical beginning of the season.  So what does winter look like here in the NW?  Well, I live in the upper Willamette Valley in a spot that is commonly referred to as “The Banana Belt”.    Often when there is snow in Portland or down south towards Corvalis, there is often still not snow where I live.  But there is plenty of the white stuff up on the mountains and in the Eastern side of our state.  Here are some views of a NW Winter –

Stay warm!
