Trapala – Brewpub & Rostisseria

We visited this place a couple of weeks ago and had the chicken with some amazing sides – Mexican rice, nopales (cactus), black beans – and some pretty good beers on tap.  I had no idea that Negro Modelo tasted so different tapped as opposed to bottled!  While we were there we watched them making the GIANT tostada, so we went back for one!

Just a tiny little place in downtown Woodburn, you walk in to see the menu and smell that amazing smell of the rostisery chicken.    20150530_151348_resized

You order your food, sit down and within a few minutes you have your meal.

We went over to the “bar” area and got our beers to sip while we waited.  They have a couple of Mexican beers and several beers from local breweries.  A small, but good selection.

 

And then the tostada arrived.

Covered with black beans, carne asada, chorizo, tomatoes, avocado,onion, shredded lettuce and cabbage – and it came with two different kinds of home made sauce – a hot red and mild green.

Every slice was full of flavor –

So if your in the mid-Willamette Valley and close to Woodburn, head downtown to Front and Garfield and enjoy a meal at Trapala!
