JDRF Walk for a Cure

“I walk for pricked fingers and bruised injection sites . For no longer being able to eat, drink, play, or sleep without careful planning and continuous monitoring. I walk for a little girl who daily has her strength tested. I walk for all of our broken hearts and for her innocence lost. For bravery among the smallest souls. This Sunday, September 28, I walk for a cure.”                                                                                               Sierra Bruce – Ava’s mom

This Sunday is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s annual walk to raise money to find a cure.  I’ll be there, walking in honor of my niece, Ava and her very brave family.  Approximately 80 people are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes every day in the US.

Come on over to Oaks park this Sunday (hopefully no rain this year!)- the walk starts at 11am  – Come show support in the effort to find a cure.

And if you really want to help, click here, a link to make a donation.  Every little bit adds up.
