Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.  What will you be doing?  We’re having family over – huge meal and lots of wine.  Spending time with family are treasured moments that, as we get older, don’t seem to happen often enough.  We usually all get together at my niece’s home with her family.  My nephew and his wife come – my sister and brother in law, my brother and my grandson, my husband and I – a loud and rowdy group to be sure!  But this year my niece’s family will be in Sacramento with her in-laws and my nephew and his wife will be spending the day with her parents.  It’s just my siblings and grandson – a small, but equally loud and rowdy group.

I treasure my family.  I treasure the relationships. I love Thanksgiving because it gives me pause to remember, and be thankful.  It gives me a moment to reflect (in spite of the frenetic attempt to get it all done).

So to all of you I wish a moment to reflect – to be thankful – and to create treasured moments with all the people that you love.

Happy Thanksgiving.
