First Weather Event of the Season

We don’t get snow here every year.  But it’s been COLD!  The evening of January 2 we had a little moisture come through in the form of snow!  Not a lot, but enough that it was beautiful to watch fall.

Snow in the spider web under the eaves of the house –

Made sure the birds had something to eat,

But that caused some frustration to Boudicca in the house!

The worst part came on the evening of January 3rds, when all the snow that had melted froze over and was covered with freezing rain!

Although it made for some nasty driving conditions, the icicles it created were works of art!

Sounds a bit like my little eden….we got snow at our level this year for the first time in 50years as we are only 190m above sea level but what a scene it was. I bet that ice was quite challenging to walk on but stunning pics made it worthwhile. Thanks for sharing your post at Fun Friday Favourites with Cath@Home – Cath@Home
