It’s getting rainy again. Fall is definitely here in the beautiful NW. So what do you do when it rains? Well, sometimes go outside anyway and sometimes we stay inside by a warm fire and make things – Like this:
And here’s how you do it!
First, gather together your supplies. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Wooden Letters
- Sparkly bat stickers (or any motif you want)
- Orange paint (I used Ceramcoat Pumpkin)
- Black paint
- Thick brush
- Sand paper
- Newspaper to paint on
First, paint the letters on both sides and around the edges in the orange – let it dry thoroughly.
Once the paint is dry, paint over the orange with the black. Allow it to dry for several hours. (this is the hard part – waiting!!)
After the paint is totally and thoroughly dry, gently sand the edges and the top so some of the orange shows through under the black.
Place a little dot of glue on the back of the letter where you want to glue it. I used E6000 glue (I used it for everything). You’ll want the letters a little bit crooked.
Place the stickers around the sides of the letters – but don’t use too many, just a couple to accent. Then hang it on your wall. That’s it!! You’re done~
