What do you do in Portland when you have a day with nothing to do?  Find a great place to eat!  There are food carts all over the city!  We checked out Carts on Foster….

20140621_124514  The Roast Runner barbeque will totally entice you with it’s smell!  That deep, earthy smell of mesquite permeates the entire area – and it tastes even better!  Other food trucks include the Angry Unicorn (burgers and bites), The Sultan, King of Spice (Mexican cuisine), sandwiches, shaved ice and more!  Check out the carts on Foster facebook page for a full list.

They also have the Pod Bar – although the selection is small, the ciders and beers are delicious!

That looks like a great place to eat! I always worry about the safety of foods in those carts. When I was younger, I would grab a quick lunch at wonderful little cart that served all sorts of food. It always parked near the high school where I worked and a lot of the kids ate there also. We called it the “roach coach”! Hahaha. Some day when I come up to Oregon I will try out some of the food carts there in Portland. Thanks!

Vickie – Portland has numerous pods and all of them are regulated by the health department. If it’s a roach coach, it gets shut down! I’m thinking I’ll make a list of the pods on my next post!

      Thanks for stopping by!
