We headed out to Portland last weekend to the Wood Worker Holiday Market that was held at the Baerlic Brewery. Although the market is over for this year (check it out next year-but don’t expect everything to be wood – I got some awesome cheese there!), the brewery was great and worth a mention.
I had the Doug E. Fresh – The Invincible IPA, aged on Douglas Fir. Dennis had the Noble Oatmeal stout, brewed with Bob’s Red mill rolled oats- a rich dark beer and the Arctos Winter Red ale. I’ve never tasted a red ale that was so rich and creamy – really good beer.
They don’t server food in the tap room, but there is a food cart just outside the curb. You could purchase a wood fired pizza and bring it in to have with your beer. (They do sell snacks like nuts, pork jerky, popcorn, pretzels and chips and salsa).
It was a super friendly atmosphere and there was really good beer. I recommend you check it out sometime – And they had some special bottles released just for the event!
