A Summer Day at the Oregon Garden

A beautiful summer day to be out for a stroll the the garden.  At the Oregon Garden in Silverton, there are more than five miles of walking paths to explore the 20 specialty gardens

It was beautifully sunny yesterday when we decided to visit.

There were so many beautiful flowers, there is no way I can show you them all!  I’d run out of space.  But here are a few….                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     IMG_7720

And some interesting critters too!

Loved this gorgeous dragonfly! (A Twelve Spotted Skimmer)

The Children’s garden had a great grassy area, a sand box to dig “cementasaurus” bones and some really creative plant displays – IMG_7641

Loved these people – these were life sized!

On the top of the hill is the Oregon Garden Resort.  It has a hotel, cottages and a great restaurant.  It’s one of the most popular wedding locations too!

All through the gardens there were sculptures, gazebos, and amazing plants.

My husband got the Abby’s Sour Brown Ale (a seasonal offering) and I had the Vitis Ridge Chardonay.   jklmn

Great beer and wine, but the service was a little bit slow at first.

All in all, I’d say it was a pretty nice day!
